Hey lovely readers!
Today I want to talk about my two favorite true crime podcasts. I figured now was a good time since true crime gives me major Halloween feels! Lets get started!
My Favorite Murder
A friend of mine recommended My Favorite Murder to me just a few weeks ago and I’m pretty obsessed. I love podcasts and I listen to several true crime ones, but this one has over taken all of them. I’m sad it took me so long to learn about it. Basically Karen and Georgia, the amazing and hilarious hosts, discuss different murders every episode. I’ve always been very interested in murder and serial killers and this podcast makes me feel less weird for liking that stuff haha. Sometimes the ladies will do a theme, like kids who killed their parents or 90’s murders.
They have such an interesting approach to murder and I absolutely love it. They obviously aren’t promoting murder and they have the utmost respect for those affected my the cases they discuss. But, they also know that bad things happen and it helps to try and understand crazy stuff like this. They like to talk about the known facts surrounding a case, why it happened, how it happened, and they love to speculate what ifs. I think my favorite episodes so far have been their discussion on what murders got them initially interested in true crime and the cannibal themed episode in which they discuss Albert Fish. This podcast is such fun, despite its morbid topic! 😉 This podcast is available on both iTunes and Spotify
Last Podcast on the Left
So obviously this podcast gets its name from the amazing movie Last House on the Left, which I just love. But what I love about this one is how in depth they go with their episodes. They really do such great research on all the cases they discuss and I’ve learned so many new facts about cases I thought I knew well. These guys are so much fun to listen to and I love the range of different topics they cover. I particularly enjoy the episode where they test their psychic abilities haha.
But my all time favortie episode is the one in which they discuss the BTK Strangler. I actually think they did a two part episode for that one and I swear I’ve listened to it more times then I can count. BTK is probably the case that fascinates me the most. Definitely give this one a try! This podcast is also available on iTunes and Spotify
Thanks for reading guys! Talk to you soon! ❤ Adrianna
