Hey lovely readers!
Today’s post is as promised, another recommendations list. You guys voted and asked for more new adult romances set in college! So here you go, 4 more for you. I hope you find something you love!
The Coincidence of Callie & Kayden by Jessica Sorensen (The Coincidence #1)
“For Kayden, suffering in silence was the only way to survive. If he was lucky, he could keep his head down, do as he was told, and make it through the day. But one night it seemed like his luck — and his life — might finally end… until an angel named Callie appeared just in time to rescue him.
Callie has never believed in luck. Not since her twelfth birthday when everything was taken from her. After the worst was over, she locked up her feelings and vowed never to tell anyone what happened. Now, six years later, she continues to struggle with the painful secret that threatens to consume her.
When fate lands Kayden and Callie at the same college, Kayden is determined to get to know the beautiful girl who changed his destiny. Quiet and reserved, Callie still fears letting anyone else into her world. But Kayden is certain that Callie has come back into his life for a reason. And the more he tries to be a part of her life, the more he realizes that this time, it’s Callie who needs to be saved…”
So first, I freaking love this cover! Isn’t just beautiful? Okay anyway! Jessica’s books were probably the first New Adult books I read and became completely addicted to. Seriously I have read almost all of her books and I have loved every single one. This book is the first in the Coincidence series. It takes place with both characters as college freshman. I believe there are like 6 more books in the series, some about other couples. But this one is my all time favorite. Callie and Kayden are both such amazing, strong, and resilient people. This book will break your heart, but it is so worth it. Stick with these two and I promise you won’t regret it. This book does contain trigger warnings for rape and abuse victims.
A Beautiful Struggle by Lilliana Anderson (Beautiful#1)
“Katrina Mahoney lives in Western Sydney, Australia. She has a very full life attending university to study a law degree, training for triathlons and now she is working part time as well. She couldn’t possibly find time for a relationship, especially after her last one ended so catastrophically.
Right now she is content focusing on work, study and training while hanging out with her best friend David Taylor, a womanizer with a heart of gold that would do anything for Katrina – except watch her get hurt again.
That is, until the dashing Elliot Roberts, a junior solicitor from her work, shows an interest in her despite their office’s ‘No Dating’ policy.
Katrina struggles with following her heart or following her mind and has trouble seeing where her heart truly lies in this gripping romantic drama.”
This one actually takes place in law school, the girl is in her final year I think, but I it’s still college-esque enough for me! It’s the first in a series of 6 other books. Each book in the series focuses on a different couple that all starts with this forbidden romance. I love the girl in this one, the guy kind of pisses me off lol. But I’m really glad I picked this one up because the series was amazing! The third book in this series my be included in a future recs list!
Someone to Love by Addison Moore (Someone to Love #1)
“If you don’t give your heart away, you can’t get it broken.
When twenty-year-old Kendall Jordan transfers across the country to Garrison University, the last thing she’s looking for is a one-night stand. Unfortunately that’s exactly what gorgeous Cruise Elton offers. Kendall has long since come to realize that love is an illusion, and Cruise couldn’t agree more, but something deep inside her wants him all for herself. So Kendall devises a plan to ‘play the player’ and proposes that Cruise tutor her in becoming a female version of himself, Garrison University’s own playboy. But as real feelings emerge, the game gets complicated, and Kendall and Cruise will find themselves questioning everything they thought they knew about love.”
Another student-teacher story! Yup I love those! In this one the girl is either a freshman or sophomore and the guy I think is a student teacher. This one has such a unique start to the couple’s relationship which I absolutely loved! And while Kendall can be a bit annoying at times I really admired her spunk. Plus Cruise just makes melt! I did find the family drama a bit tedious, but overall I really enjoyed this book! There are two more books in the series, number 2 is focused on one of Kendall’s friends, and book number 3 closes out Kendall and Cruises story. Enjoy!
The Boy Next Door by Ella James (Off-Limits Romance #2)
“The boy next door. That’s what he was. Dash Frasier—my hero from the day we met, when I was six and he was nine. His sister was my best friend, the three of us one happy crew. Then one sweaty summer night changed everything.
No one understood me like Dash. No one made me feel so loved. That’s why, when he skipped town, it wrecked me.
Now I’m older. Wiser. I’ve just snagged my dream job, writing at a film studio. The lead animator on my project? You guessed it. He’s not the boy next door. Not anymore.
I’m guarding my heart this time. But Dash has secrets that could break us both.”
I loved this one so so much! It alternates between both characters in the past and present, which I thought was so interesting. You get the story of how these two characters who were once so close ended up so far apart. The girl is still in college, it’s the summer before her senior year, but she’s completing a summer internship. It’s still college-esque, but with a unique setting. I love that they are movie animators, so fun! Way more emotional of a book than I thought it would be. This is actually the second book in this series, but you don’t have to read the first one to read this one. I read them out of order and it was totally fine, but you should definitely read the others!
Okay that’s it guys! I hope you like these ones and definitely let me know if you have any recs for me! Watch for a new poll this Monday to pick what I recommend next! Instead of limiting myself to new adult I’ll be doing romance as a whole!
Thanks for reading guys! Talk to you soon! <3 Adrianna
